# Commands

> Every nsq command — start, list, attach, send, answer, stop, remove, cost, OpenRouter, phone, dictation, the daemon and doctor.

`nsq help` prints this list in your terminal. An agent is named by its name or id, as `nsq ls`
shows it.

## Agents

| Command | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `nsq` | The dashboard (starts the daemon) |
| `nsq run <claude\|codex\|opencode> [prompt]` | Start an agent in the current folder |
| `nsq run [--name n] -- <command…>` | Run any command as an agent |
| `nsq ls [--json]` | Agents, their status, the pending question, cost and branch |
| `nsq attach <agent>` | The agent full screen in this terminal; `Ctrl ]` detaches |
| `nsq send <agent> "prompt" [--when-done]` | Send a prompt now, or when the current turn is done |
| `nsq answer <agent> yes\|always\|no` | Answer a permission prompt |
| `nsq interrupt <agent>` | Interrupt the current turn (with the key that CLI expects) |
| `nsq stop` / `start` / `restart <agent>` | Stop, start or restart the process; start and restart resume its session |
| `nsq rm <agent> [--worktree]` | Remove the agent (and, with `--worktree`, delete its worktree) |
| `nsq set <agent> [--dangerous on\|off] [--model id\|none] [--provider openrouter\|none]` | Change an agent |
| `nsq diff <agent>` | The git diff of the agent's folder |
| `nsq peek <agent> [-n 20]` | The last lines of its screen |
| `nsq cost [--since 7d] [--json]` | What each agent spent |

Options of `nsq run`:

| `--name <name>` | The agent's name (default: the CLI's or command's name, made unique) |
| `--worktree` | Its own git branch and checkout — see [Worktrees](https://docs.neurosquad.ai/en/cli/worktrees) |
| `--model <id>` | The model to use |
| `--provider openrouter` | Run through [OpenRouter](https://docs.neurosquad.ai/en/cli/openrouter) |
| `--dangerous` | Approve the agent's permission prompts for it |
| `--attach` | Open it full screen right away |

## Cost

`nsq cost` and the cost column of `nsq ls` are read from each CLI's own session logs: tokens are
whole numbers, and a model nsq has no price for shows **no price** — never $0.
